There are also several types of outside bet in an American roulette. The red bet is made on the red slot of the wheel . The black bet is of course placed on the black color of the American roulette wheel. An even bet is called when the ball lands on an even number. The odd bet is one which the ball will drop on an odd number. A low bet is placed on the numbers between 1 and 18
